Design Process:

My personal approach to design is through a makers/tactile lens.

This approach starts with sketching, its a tool to get the ideas out of my head and onto paper. I prefer to keep it quick. Focus on the design more than the sketch itself. As we all know, sketches do not follow the same rules as sewn goods.

So, now that I have a concept. I like to move into prototyping as soon as possible. I am most creative behind a sewing machine. Altering the concept along the way. Many of the product I create, require rounds of testing. I find the sooner I can get to testing the concept. The more accurate the sampling phase can get.
